You can also mute the microphone when the IP phone is ringing.
You can place an active call on hold. Only one active call can be in progress at any time. Other
calls can be made and received while placing the original call on hold. The phone will play beep
of a specified frequency softly to remind you that you still have a call on hold. Your system
administrator can customize the frequency and configure when to play beep.
If Music on Hold is enabled, the held party will hear a piece of music from IP PBX while
waiting. Check with your system administrator to find out if this feature is enabled on your
phone.
Procedure:
Press the HOLD key or Hold during a call.

The LCD screen indicates that the call is on hold.
The phone ignores engaged audio device (handset or headset) and plays beep in the
Speakerphone mode by default. The Speakerphone key will light up for 1 second along with the
beep except on SIP-T40G/T40P IP phone.
Procedure:
Press the HOLD key again or Resume.
