For the SIP-T42S/T42G/T41S/T41P/T40G/T40P IP phone, navigate to
Menu->Settings->Basic Settings->Display->Backlight.
For the SIP-T48S/T48G/T46S/T46G IP phone, select the desired level from the Active Level

You can configure the LCD screen contrast to a comfortable level for the SIP-T40G/T40P IP
phone. The level ranges from 1 to 10 and 10 is the highest level.
Procedure:
Navigate to Menu->Settings->Basic Settings->Display->Contrast.

Contrast is configurable via web user interface at the path Settings->Preference.
