● If a GPU is installed in slot 1, 3, the right external fan is required. If a GPU is installed in slot 6, 8, both external fans are
required.
● Two external fans are required for GPU-ready SKUs, there is no SKU with left external fan only.
● If a GPU is installed on slot 1 or 3, only one 5.25 inch RMSD device (ODD/RD1000/half-height tape) is supported.
● Four single width GPUs cannot be supported if the second PERC with battery (H730/H730P/H830).
● 300 W GPUs only support the maximum ambient temperature of 30°C.
● GPU is not supported for 3.5 inch x 18 chassis and fresh air condition.
● GPU is only supported in rack mode.
● The left and right external fans are required when a GPU is installed in slots 6 and 8.
NOTE:
This system supports up to 2 x NVIDIA M10 GPUs.

GPU card installation guidelines

Observe the following guidelines while installing a GPU card:
● GPU are supported only in the Rack mode configuration.
● GPU can be installed only on systems that have 1100 W or higher power supply units.
● Each GPU card supports up to 32 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory.
● Two double-width GPU cards on a single processor configuration and four double width GPU cards on a dual processor
configuration do not support any other add-on cards.
● The GPU cards must be installed:
○ On GPU enabled system (two processor and also contains the main air shroud and GPU air shrouds).
○ On systems with eight fan configuration (Fan1, Fan2 are standard (STD) fans. Fan3-Fan6 are high-performance (HPR)
fans. Fan7 and Fan8 are external Left and Right fans).
● Specific GPU cards will need the use of the dongle power cable.
