21.5 Inspection
Inspect all removed parts, if any part is found defective,
replace it.
21.6 Reassembly of plunger
1.
Insert the plunger barrel into the housing.
2.
Install the delivery valve and valve spring.
Temporarily tighten the holder.
3.
Insert the control rack.
4.
Insert the control pinion. Align the matchmark of
the rack to that of the pinion.
5.
Install the spring upper seat.
6.
Insert the plunger spring.
7.
Fit the lower seat to the plunger. Insert the plunger
into the barrel side.
8.
Press the tappet roller assembly and install the
stopper pin.
9.
Tighten the delivery holder.
21.7 Reassembly of delivery valve
Reassemble the injection pump in the reverse
sequence of removal.
CAUTION
a.
When installing the plunger barrel, engage the
dowel pin on the housing side with the groove in
the barrel.
b.
Position the part-number stamp of the plunger to
the opposite side of the rack (engage the feed
hole with the plunger lead).
c.
After installation, check for proper injection
timing.
