Thoroughly clean the filter mounting surface of the
filter bracket. Install the new filter with the O-ring
coated with engine oil and tighten securely by
hand.

CAUTION
Be careful not to twist the O-ring.

Run the engine for several minutes and make sure
that no oil leaks.

After stopping the engine, check the oil level. If
necessary, add oil.

Retightening the cylinder head
bolts
When retightening the cylinder head bolts, drain out
coolant, loosen the bolts slightly, and then retighten the
bolts to the specified torque in the numerical order
illustrated at right.

The rocker assembly (the rocker arms, shaft and stays)
is to be kept removed when the cylinder head bolts are
retightened.
