Replacing the Laser Fiber

To replace the laser fiber, proceed as follows:
 Set laser to STANDBY: Press STANDBY button to deactivate laser (LED of STANDBY button
must light up green!)
 At the proximal end of the laser fiber, loosen the screw cap of the SMAplus plug, then
withdraw the fiber plug from the SMAplus socket.
 The laser status indicator will light up red on the display screen, signaling that the laser
fiber has been removed.
 Take a new laser fiber out of its sterile package and plug its SMAplus connector into the
fiber connection socket, then finger-tighten the screw cap. If this has been done correctly,
"LASER STAND BY" will be displayed in green.
 If the laser fiber is not recognized by the unit, the red status indicator will remain on. In
this case, please check the screw cap for proper / snug seat and verify that an approved
laser fiber has been connected to the Limax
 The laser parameters set prior to exchanging the fiber are retained.
