Replacing the Laser Fiber

To replace the laser fiber, proceed as follows:
Set laser to STANDBY: Press STANDBY button to deactivate laser (LED of STANDBY button
must light up green!)
At the proximal end of the laser fiber, loosen the screw cap of the SMAplus plug, then
withdraw the fiber plug from the SMAplus socket.
The laser status indicator will light up red on the display screen, signaling that the laser
fiber has been removed.
Take a new laser fiber out of its sterile package and plug its SMAplus connector into the
fiber connection socket, then finger-tighten the screw cap. If this has been done correctly,
"LASER STAND BY" will be displayed in green.
If the laser fiber is not recognized by the unit, the red status indicator will remain on. In
this case, please check the screw cap for proper / snug seat and verify that an approved
laser fiber has been connected to the Limax
The laser parameters set prior to exchanging the fiber are retained.
