Purged laser fiber

To use a purged laser fiber (2), the AIR
connecting tube (1) attached to the proximal
fiber end must be connected to the sterile air
filter (5) using the Luer-lock connector (4). The
distal fiber end features a small nozzle from
which the laser light and the purge air flow are
emitted.

The flexible laser fiber purge tube can be pulled
over any bare fiber. Similar to purged laser
fibers, the laser light and the purge air flow are
emitted at the distal end of the laser fiber purge
tube. The purge tube (5) made of Teflon is
sealed off at its proximal end. It is equipped
with an AIR connecting tube (4) featuring a
Luer-lock plug (3) for connection to the sterile
air filter (2).
