2.1 Key features

The MSC C10-MB-EV is designed as a type 10 carrier according to COM Express® Module
Base Specification Revision 2.1.
Key features include:

Interface for COM Express module type 10

Single 220 pin connector

PCIe x16 slot for up to PCIe x4

One PCI Express Mini Card slot

Support pins for two Express Cards on pin header

Up to six USB 2.0 ports; two on front panel; four on pin headers (two are shared with
mPCIe and USB client support)

Two USB 3.0 ports

Four shared USB over-current lines

Two Serial ATA connectors

Display interfaces
o Digital Display Interface (DDI) configured as Display Port
o JILI30 single channel 24-bit LVDS (shared with eDP)
o eDP shared with LVDS

High definition digital audio codec ALC888 or ALC886
o LineIn
o LineOut
o Microphone

Single Gbit Ethernet interface

LPC header

Pin header for 8 GPIOs


o 2x RS-232 ports
o 1x Parallel port

Power supply via ATX connector or power jack

+12V primary
Note: Rev.1 supports only 7.5V – 20V (LY10100102)
Warning: The input power pins are connect to the power pins at the COM Express
connector. Check the power input range from your COM Express module if you use
other power supply than 12V.


SD Card slot (signals shared with GPIOs)

Operating temperature range: Commercial 0 to +60°C
[At industrial temperature range (-40 to +85°C), functionality of some features is not
guaranteed (SIO, HDA), 3V battery must be removed]
Note: Support for all above features will also depend on the used COM Express module. Not all
modules support the maximum number of interfaces.
