While pressing the levers on both sides of the
connector, pull the connector toward you to
remove it, and place the connector on the rear
surface of the ink cartridge cover.

Important:
Do not leave the connector removed from the
ink cartridge for more than 30 minutes.
Otherwise, the ink will dry out and the printer
may not function as expected.

Remove the ink cartridge from the ink supply
unit, and place it on a flat surface with the ink
supply outlet facing the side.
Slide the ink cartridge back and forth
longitudinally within the range of approximately
10 cm (3.93 in.) for three times.
Move the ink cartridge at a rate of one
back-and-forth cycle per second.
