14. Handling

Take note of all the safety instructions in these operating instructions!
Operation is only permissible in dry indoor areas or protected outdoor areas.
Never touch the device and its mains cable when your hands are wet or damp. There is a risk
of a fatal electric shock.
• The following unfavourable conditions are to be avoided at the place of installation or during
transport:
- Direct rain
- extreme cold or heat
- direct sunlight
- Dust or combustible gases, vapours or solvents
- Strong vibrations
- strong magnetic fields such as those found in the vicinity of machinery or loudspeakers
• Make sure that the device is sufficiently ventilated. Ensure sufficient air circulation. Keep a sufficient
distance to flammable or easily flammable surfaces/objects
Observe a distance of at least 1m to radiated surfaces!
• When assembling the device, make sure the cables are not bent or jammed.
• Check the product for damage before each use! If you detect any damage, DO NOT connect the
product to the mains voltage! This constitutes a mortal danger!
• Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device is no longer functional and
- the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- if it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
• Besides the work steps for installation and changing the illuminant, the product may not be opened!
None of the components inside the product is to be maintained by the user.
