If the mains cable is not already installed on delivery, connect it to the screw clamps on the inside of the surveillance
camera.
For this purpose, remove the four screws of the housing cover and take it off. Slide the cable through the cap nut
(detach previously if appl.) into the housing. The three leads of the mains cable are connected to the corresponding
screw clamps:
If there are already cables in the 3 screw clamps, these have to be screwed tight there. They serve to supply the
camera and the motion sensor with power.
Make sure that the cable is guided through the strain relief clamp and screwed tight with the two screws there. Then
tighten the cap nut to protect the product against dampness.
Finally, put on the cover and attach it with the four screws.
The other end of the mains cable has to be wired in a suitable connection box (blue = N, brown = L, green/yellow
= protective conductor). Use appropriate clamp strips.
Insert a suitable illuminant in the surveillance camera; see chapter 13.
Then connect the surveillance camera to the mains voltage (230 V/AC/50 Hz).
The lamp in the surveillance camera is lit for approx. 1 minute (self-test). Afterwards the surveillance camera is ready
for operation and records images upon motion if the PIR sensor detects this motion.
The PIR sensor does not react to motion alone (e.g. a falling leaf, moving objects), but to different
moving thermal spots, meaning the motion of people or animals with warm body parts in front of a
background with a different temperature.
The already integrated internal memory is not completely available but is also used for image editing.
For this reason, we recommend using an additional SD memory card (not part of the delivery, max.
2GByte). If an SD memory card is inserted, the internal memory of the surveillance camera is
deactivated.
If the internal memory or the SD memory card is full, the old data is overwritten with new data.
In case of a power failure, the data of the internal memory is lost. However, the data on the SD memory
card is preserved.
Although the surveillance camera has a USB port, it is very tedious to use this if the camera is installed
on a building wall, for example. After all, a USB cable may only have a maximum length of 5 m without
a repeater. We therefore recommend using an SD memory card, which can be removed easily and read
on the computer.
