Please note:
If an SD card is inserted, the symbol for the SD memory card ("•") does not appear until the motion detector has
detected a movement and saves an image or a video.
Please observe Section 9 d). The time interval set there (e.g. 5 minutes) must be waited for, before the
motion detector becomes active again and detects a movement; only then is saving performed and the
SD memory card recognised.
Therefore, do not be surprised if the "•" symbol for the memory card does not immediately appear on
the display when it is inserted.
If the SD card was removed, the "•" symbol disappears from the display (for an inserted SD card) only when the motion
detector has identified a movement and writes an image or video to the internal memory.
Here it must also be taken into account that the time interval which can be set in Section 9. d) must
expire, see notes above.
You can also use or remove the SD memory card while operating the surveillance camera. As described
above, it may, however, take some time until it is recognised and the "•" symbol appears on (or
disappears from) the display, depending on the time interval as set in Section 9. d).
In very rare cases it may happen that the surveillance camera tries to write data to the SD memory card
when inserting or removing (e.g. when recording videos with motion detection).
It is possible that the file system on the SD memory card is damaged resulting in the last recording, for
instance, becoming unreadable.
Example: If you approach the surveillance camera to remove the memory card and have programmed
a video recording, a recording on the SD memory card may still be in process. If you now remove the
SD memory card, the last recording is of course not fully saved.
It may therefore be necessary to reformat the SD memory card after copying the other faultless
recordings in the computer (FAT or FAT32 only, not NTFS), before it is reinserted in the surveillance
camera.
Only a traditional SD memory card with a maximum memory of 2 GB may be used. It is not possible
to use a so-called SDHC memory card.
