E002-0006 due to power shortage upon temperature increase of the fixing assembly resulted from false
detection by the main thermistor (TH1)
Symptom
When turning ON the main power in a state that the fixing assembly is cold, E002-0006 may occur.
- E002-0006: At startup while Fixing Motor is rotating, the temperature of Main Thermistor 1 (TH1) does not
increase by 1 degrees Celsius or more per second.
Cause
The symptom occurs due to the failure of the system software DC-CONT Ver.63.01 or before. The failure
causes false detection by the main thermistor 1 (TH1) and then power shortage to increase the temperature
of the fixing assembly occurs when turning ON the machine in a state that the fixing assembly is cold.
Service work
The failure is corrected in the system software DC-CONT Ver.63.01. Check the version of DC-CONT and
perform an upgrade.
