Perform initial commissioning with test run

DANGER
Risk of injury due to uncontrolled movement.
The moving parts of the product move unpredictably and at high speed within the range of motion.
• Do not stand in the range of motion of the product.
1. Switch on the power supply.
2. Pressurise the compressed air supply slowly. Move the pneumatic drives to the end positions at
reduced pressure.
3.
Perform control movement at low speed:
– Determine the directions of movement. Even under identical control motors/gear units of the
same design may rotate in the opposite direction due to different connection/mounting.
– Check function of the limit switches.
4.
Start test run at low speed:
– Gradually increase the speed up to the required and permissible travel speed.
– Clear any malfunctions that may occur è 11 Fault clearance
5. Finish the test run.
9

Operation

When operating the product, observe the following:
– The permissible travel speed is configuration-dependent.

Safety instructions

DANGER
Injury or death due to electric shock.
• Before working on the product: switch off the power supply and lock it to prevent reconnection.
WARNING
Risk of injury from moving parts.
When the power supply or compressed air supply is switched off, moving parts can travel uncontrol-
lably into the lower end position. This may result in crushing of body parts.
• Before switching off the power supply or the compressed air supply: move the vertical or tilted
moving parts to the lower end position and secure them.
1. Switch off power supply.
Ä Residual voltages may still be present in electrical components after the power supply is
switched off.
Before disconnecting electrical connections: comply with the waiting time specified for the
integrated electrical components è Observe the documentation of the electrical compo-
nents.
2. Switch off compressed air supply.
3. Compressed air can be stored in the pneumatic attachment component: exhaust the attachment
component.
