RAKE
The brake output is an open-drain MOSFET with internal flyback diode for driving inductive
loads. It can sink up to 1A from a motor brake connected to the +24 Vdc supply. The operation
of the brake is programmable with CME. It can also be programmed as general-purpose digital
output (shown in the table below).

CME Default Setting for rake Output OUT3 is " rake - Active ow"
Active = Brake is holding motor shaft (i.e. the Brake is Active)
Motor cannot move
No current flows in coil of brake
CME I/O Line States shows [OUT3] as LO
BRK Output voltage is HI (24V), MOSFET Q3 is OFF
Servo drive output current is zero
Servo drive is disabled, PWM outputs are off
Inactive = Brake is not holding motor shaft (i.e. the Brake is Inactive)
Motor can move
Current flows in coil of brake
CME I/O Line States shows [OUT3] as HI
BRK output voltage is LO (~0V), MOSFET Q3 is ON
Servo drive is enabled, PWM outputs are on
Servo drive output current is flowing
