5.5.2 SoundMap

To the left is a list of all active SoundMaps on the device.
To the right the settings of a selected or new SoundMap can be seen

"Tag" is a human readable name of a Sound ap
o
"Id" is the unique number assigned to each Sound ap. Ids are always unique; tags don't have
o
to be.
o
An open eye in the last column shows that a SoundMap is created by the front-end. A closed
eye means a SoundMap is created by a user.
"New SoundMap" can be clicked to start adding a new SoundMap. The settings to the right
o
should then be filled in.
"Tag" is the name of the Sound ap
o
"Sound ap Type" is the type of Sound ap. Examples are "Data" or "Image".
o
"Weighting" can be used to apply a certain pre-defined acoustic weighting to results
o
"Reporting Interval" is how often the Sound ap will produce a result. Audio is averaged over
o
this duration.
"frequency ranges" can be selected and edited, added or removed. Note that there is a maximum
o
total range the device can analyse. In this release this is 8000Hz.
