5) Multi-Feeding
Description: Multiple sheets of paper are fed at once.
1. Check that the paper size
guides are set correctly
(cassette and MPF tray).
2. Solenoid malfunction
(the solenoid does not work properly).
3. Friction Pad is contaminated.
4. Paper has a rough surface texture.

Adjust paper guides.
Replace the solenoids or PBA
as appropriate.
Clean the friction pad rubber with
a soft cloth dampened with IPA
(Isopropyl Alcohol) or water.
Use paper with a smother surface
finish.
