The ambient conditions (in particular type and concentration of the
contaminants) must be known. Use the appropriate respiratory
filters. If the pollutant is not known, do not use the half masks.
Always use two respiratory filters of the same type from a single
pack.
Air purifying respirators may only be used if the air does not
present an immediate danger to your life or health.
Ensure the surrounding atmosphere cannot exceed limits.
Air purifying respirators must not be used for contaminants that
have inadequate warning properties (smell, taste or irritation). If
there is a suspicious sign (for example, odor), this indicates
leakage may occur and leave the danger area immediately.
Do not enter unventilated areas such as containers, shafts, or
ducts when wearing this half mask.
Do not use in enriched oxygen atmospheres.
The ambient air must contain oxygen volume as specified in
national guidelines.
The half mask must not be used in explosive areas.
