When fitting the respiratory filters, make sure that the mask
body is not being kinked.
Otherwise, the mask body could be damaged.
2. Position two respiratory filters (See Figure B1-1: The line markings
must line up!) and insert them until they lock into place (See Figure
B1-2) by twisting each respiratory filter downwards (as directed by
arrows) until a stop is felt. Ensure that the line marking of the
respiratory filter is above the end of the arrow.
WARNING

The bayonet catch must always be fitted on both sides! The
respiratory filter must be straight when locked in position!
Always use two respiratory filters of the same type.
If this warning is not heeded, injury or death can result.
3.3
Donning the half mask
To wear the half mask, do the following:
1. Make sure that the correct respiratory filters are fitted.
2. Put on the neck strap.
For X-plore 3350: Put the neck strap around your neck (See
Figure C).
For X-plore 3550:Close the clasps around your neck.
3. Position the mask over mouth and nose (See Figure D).
4. Place the head harness over the back of your head, with the head
harness above your ears (See Figure E).
5. Pull the ends of the upper straps until the mask rests tightly against
your face.
