Indicates the date of manufacture of the half mask. The
numbers 1 to 12 correspond to the months January to
December. The manufacturer's code number can also appear
in this ring. The year of manufacture is entered in the middle.
The arrow points to the month in which the component was
manufactured.
Indicates the manufacture year of the exhalation valve disc.
The manufacture year is calculated by the year specified plus
the number of dots.

Prerequisites
3.1.1
Special NIOSH requirements
Before occupational use of this respirator, a written respiratory
protection program must be implemented meeting all the local
government requirements. In the United States, employers must
comply with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 which includes medical
evaluation, training, and fit testing.
3.1.2
Special European requirements
Before initial use, the entrepreneur/user must ensure the following
(see European Directive 89/656/EEC):
the fit must be correct to ensure the necessary air-tight fit,
the personal protective equipment must match other types of
protective equipment worn at the same time (e.g. protective
jacket),
the personal protective equipment must be suitable for respective
workplace conditions,
the personal protective equipment must meet ergonomic and
health requirements of the respective wearer of respiratory
protective equipment.
