Repeat the entire procedure above, using the vertical arrow keys rather than
the horizontal, and end by pressing
the default ordinate limits.

Autex

autex expands the spectrum vertically to fill the display area. The following
procedure demonstrates how autex behaves with the factory Setup options
in effect.
1. Make sure that the polystyrene survey spectrum in region X is displayed.
2. Press autex (
The spectrum expands vertically to fill the display area of the screen. The
limit labels at the top and bottom of the ordinate axis display the changed
scale.
3. Move the spectrum with the horizontal arrow keys.
The new ordinate limits do not change as the spectrum moves
horizontally.
4. Move the spectrum with the vertical arrow keys.
The ordinate limits update as the spectrum moves vertically.
