Collecting a survey scan
BACKG collected one scan and placed it in Backg. Next, you are going to use
Survey to collect one scan and place it in the X spectrum region.
1. Open the sample compartment lid.
2. Insert the sample of polystyrene film, supplied with the Spectrum RX I,
into the sample slide.
3. Close the sample compartment lid.
4. Press Survey.
Axes are displayed. When the scan is complete, the spectrum of
polystyrene appears. The status line reports that the spectrum is in X.

Using the View Keys

The 12 view keys, located toward the top right of the keypad, enable you to
display spectra and manipulate them in various ways.
