Connect the other end of the printer cable to the parallel port of the
computer. Secure the connection with the screws attached to the
head of the printer cable.

USB Connection

Plug the B connector (angular) of the USB cable into the USB port on
the back of the printer.
Be sure to insert the connector completely.
Important
Do not plug in the other end of the USB cable into the computer. The USB cable is
connected to the computer when the printer driver is installed.
Note
The printer is equipped with floating internal structure, so when you connect the
USB cable if the connector moves slightly this does not indicate anything
abnormal.
