Press the Power button to switch the printer on.
After a few seconds "Ready" is displayed in the operation panel and the
Online lamp lights.

Switch on the Windows computer.

Insert the A connector (flat) of the USB cable into the USB port of the
computer.
Be sure to insert the connector completely.

When the Add New Hardware Wizard opens, follow the instructions
on the screens.
If you are using Windows XP or Windows 2000, installation of the USB
driver is not required. Go to Step 8 to proceed with installation of the printer
driver.
