On the Setup Menu click Install Printer Driver (Other Than USB).
If the Setup Menu window does not open, double-click the My Computer
icon on the desktop, click the CD-ROM drive icon, and then from the File
menu select AutoPlay.
For Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Windows 4.0 NT, click Install Printer
Driver.

Follow the same procedure for connecting the printer and installing
the Windows printer driver for a parallel port connection.

When the port selection screen opens, click the Add Port button.

For the Port item select Canon LPR Port and click the OK button.
Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the procedure.
For Windows XP or Windows 2000, select Standard TCP/IP Port, and for
Windows NT 4.0 select LPR Port.

When the printer name entry screen opens, enter the printer IP
address for Host Name or IP Address, then follow the instructions on
the screen to complete the procedure.
For Windows XP or Windows 2000, enter the printer IP address for Printer
Name or IP Address.
For Windows NT 4.0, enter the printer IP address for Name or address of
server providing lpd and enter lp for Name of printer or print queue on that
server. (Be sure to use lower case letters for "lp".)
When the port selection screen returns, confirm that the added port
from the list of ports is selected, then follow the instructions on the
screen.
After the computer restarts, the installations of the printer driver and NetSpot
Suite Service are completed.
