Installation for Windows Me, Windows 98, Windows 95 for a NetBEUI
Network Connection
After double-clicking Setup (Setup.exe) in the "PORTMON" folder on the
software CD-ROM and installing the NetBIOS/NetBEUI Port Monitor,
follow the same procedure for installation with the parallel port to complete
the installation of the printer driver.
Note
When the printer is connected to a NetBEUI network, the NetBEUI protocol must
be installed in Windows. In the Control Panel window, double-click the Network
icon, then confirm that the NetBEUI is included in the list of protocols on the
Configuration sheet. If NetBEUI is not in the list, click the Add button, double-
click Protocols, double-click Microsoft, then select and install NetBEUI.
If the computer is on, switch the computer off before you start this procedure.

Press the Power button to switch the printer on.
After a few seconds "Ready" is displayed in the operation panel and the
Online lamp lights.

Switch on the Windows computer.

Mount the software CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.
First, the language selection screen opens. Select the appropriate language.

On the desktop double-click the My Computer icon and click the CD-
ROM drive icon. From the File menu select Open, double-click the
"PORTMON" folder, then double-click the SETUP file (SETUP.EXE).

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
The NetBIOS/NetBEUI Port Monitor installation begins.

When the installation is completed, click the Finish button.
This completes the installation of NetBIOS/NetBEUI Port Monitor.
