(7) Stop the center hole in the air/water valve with a finger to
supply air to the digestive tract.
The mucous membrane of the digestive tract is displayed
clearly.
(8) Steer the distal end of the ultrasonic endoscope to the
region of interest by turning the up-down and left-right
angulation knobs.
[Note]
Never insert or withdraw the ultrasonic endoscope
forcibly.
[Note]
In case that the bending section does not return or cannot
be pulled out easily because it is inverted inside the narrow
lumen, do not pull it out forcibly.
(9) Inject water through the instrument channel inlet to the
area of interest and perform the ultrasonic observation.
[Note]
The ultrasonic image is a radial image extending from the
point approximately 10 mm short of the distal end of the
ultrasonic endoscope.
