The remote control has a three states battery LED : green, red, flashing red.
Red LED means that the battery needs to be recharged.
When the LED goes RED, there is still enough energy to perform at least a patient lowering.
The charger used for the POWEO® 150 includes advanced security functions: during the charge
overvoltage, over current, over temperature are monitored and the charge is stopped if some value goes
out of programmed security values. The NiMh battery also contains electronic protections against short
circuits, over voltages and over temperature. If one of this parameters goes beyond specified value, the
battery will stop functioning, preventing the user from overheat and fire hazards. Therefore the use of
SCALEO Medical batteries and chargers is perfectly secure.
In order to recharge the batteries: connect the charger to the AC outlet, and then just put the battery on the battery
charger. A 4 hours recharge will recharge 100% empty batteries. For intensive daily use a daily recharge will be
necessary.
The charger LED lights up and displays the state of the recharge. Depending on the colour of the LED the user
can monitor the different states.
