1.4 The column is then secured by inserting and tightening the second screw: The blue material found on the
provided screw is dry Loctite, intended to secure the mounting and protecting the fixing against vibrations.
Tighten the screws with two identical wrenches (see picture above). It is useless to tighten with excessive force,
the screws are used only to secure the pin. A excessive force could damage the screw.
In the case of a POWEO® delivered with special wrenches, keep them for the future: they may be useful for later
servicing of the POWEO® .
This operation is very important for the security of the patient and caregivers.
Without the security pin, the column may fall and provoke serious injuries.
Insure that this pin is properly secured, and perform regular inspection of it: screws must ALWAYS be
present and in good condition.
A label near the pin allows a quick identification:
1.5 Free the suspension from the rubber band, connect the remote controller: visual and mechanical references
help to insert the connector properly. The connector must be inserted properly to insure the sealing: water will
not be able to go to the electronics.
