RECOMMENDED FLUIDS AND LUBRICANTS

GREASE
Use an SAE Multi-Purpose High Temperature Grease with Extreme Pressure (EP) Performance and
containing at least 1.5% molybdenum disulphide. (NLGI Grade 2)
Also acceptable is an SAE Multi-Purpose Lithium Base Grease.
HYDRAULIC OIL
Use SAE 15W40 complying with SAE specs for API Class SJ and CH-4 engine oil.
WOBBLE BOX LUBRICANT
In sickle drive wobble box, use SAE 85W-140 gear lubricant (API Service Classification GL-5)
ROLL DRIVE CHAIN CASE
See "Grease", above.
CAPACITIES
Wobble Box (Sickle Drive) - 2.2 litres (2.3 U.S. quarts)
Roll Drive Chain Case - 2000 grams (5 tubes)
Hydraulic Reservoir -
STORING LUBRICANTS
Your machine can operate at top efficiency only if clean lubricants are used. Use clean containers to handle all
lubricants. Store them in an area protected from dust, moisture, and other contaminants.
SEALED BEARING INSTALLATION
1. Clean shaft and coat with rust preventative.
2. Install flangette, bearing, second flangette and
lock collar.
NOTE: The locking cam is only on one side of
the bearing.
3. Install (but do not tighten) the flangette bolts.
4. When the shaft is correctly located, lock the
lock collar with a punch. The collar should be
locked in the same direction the shaft rotates.
Tighten the set screw in the collar.
5. Tighten the flangette bolts.
6. Loosen the flangette bolts on the mating
bearing one turn and re-tighten. This will allow
the bearing to line up.

16 ft. windrower: 126 litres (33 U.S. gallons)
