HMI500 software is primarily used as a human-machine interface (HMI) for the protection system
REB500 (Operator mode). Furthermore, the program can be used for the configuration of the
system file (Configurator mode), if a licence key file has been saved under the HMI500-REBWIN
installation directory (see

Operator mode (for information only)
The Operator mode can be run in a read only mode by appropriately activating the Read only
check box, that is, the data can be viewed but not changed. Users that want to run the Operator
mode in a read/write mode must deactivate Read only.
