11 Software

11.3 Data management

Data can be managed either using the dropdown menus or the file operations, for more
information please refer to chapter 11.2 Overview.
INFORMATION
Data Files
Measurement data will be stored in the FCS format. The FCS file will
contain all measured data and the measurement settings (e.g. plot layout,
trigger, gain values, etc.)
Compensations will be included in the FCS file. For more information,
please refer to chapter 11.5.1 Compensation.
The CFG file (*.cvc85) will contain only the measurement settings
(e.g. plot layout, trigger, gain values, etc.).

11.3.1 Open (.fcs)

Stored FCS files can be loaded by choosing [Open (.fcs)] in the dropdown menu or using
the file operations button.

11.3.2 Save (.fcs)

NOTICE
Autosave
Data can be automatically saved using the [Autosave] auto-flag. When
autosaving, FCS files will be labelled with consecutive numbers. For more
information, please refer to chapter 11.5.6 Measure.
Use the [FCS-File-Indexing] button to adjust the starting number.
To store data, choose [Save (.fcs)] in the dropdown menu or the file operations button.
To set a default data storage folder when using [Save (.fcs)], open the "File" dropdown
menu, select [Set manual FCS-File directory...] and choose a folder. This path will not be
the default path for automatical saving.

11.3.3 Open Configuration

To load a configuration file (*.cvc85), choose the dropdown menu item [Open Configuration
(.cfg)] or the file operations button.

11.3.4 Save Configuration

To store a configuration file (*.cvc85) choose the dropdown menu item [Save Configuration
(.cfg)] or the file operations button.
