If you use the vehicle in winter, you must expect salt on the roads. You should therefore take precau-
tions against aggressive road salt.
If the vehicle was operated in road salt, clean it with cold water after riding. Warm water would enhance
the corrosive effects of salt.

Treat bare metal (except for brake discs and the exhaust sys-
tem) with a corrosion inhibitor.

the brake calipers and brake linings, after they have
cooled down and without removing them, with cold
water and dry them carefully.

parts (except the brake discs) with a wax-based corrosion
inhibitor.
