OPERATING PROCEDURES
2. Insert the drive shaft into the freezing cylinder, hex
end first, into the rear shell bearing, until the seal fits
securely over the rear shell bearing. Engage the hex
end firmly into the drive coupling. Make sure the drive
shaft fits into the drive coupling without binding.
3. Take one of the scraper blades and slip it under the
hook at the front of the beater. Wrap the blade
around the beater following the helix. Push the blade
down onto the helix as you wrap. At the back of the
beater, slip the blade under the hook. Repeat this
step for the second scraper blade.

4. Holding the beater securely, slide the beater one third
of the way into the freezing cylinder. Looking into the
freezing cylinder, align the hole at the rear of the
beater with the flats on the end of the drive shaft.

5. Slide the beater the remainder of the way into the
freezing cylinder and over the end of the drive shaft.
The beater should fit snugly, but not so tightly that the
beater cannot be turned slightly to engage the drive
shaft. If the beater slides in too easily with little or no
resistance, there will not be enough force against the
beater to hold the blades in place. If this is the case,
contact your authorized Taylor service technician.
6. Before assembling the freezer door, check the
following for any nicks, cracks, or signs of wear: the
front bearing, door gasket, draw valve, O-rings, and
all sides of the door assembly, including the inside of
the draw valve bore. Replace any damaged parts.
7. Place the large rubber gasket in the groove on the
back of the freezer door.
8. Slide the white plastic front bearing over the baffle
rod onto the bearing hub, making certain the flanged
end of the bearing is resting against the freezer door.
Do not lubricate the gasket or the front bearing.
