Subwoofer Installation

1. Place the subwoofer in its approximate final location.

2. Dig a hole with the following minimum dimensions to bury the

subwoofer:

Depth: 7.87-12.40 in. (200-315 mm)

Diameter: 18 in. (457 mm)

3. Prepare a flat bed for the subwoofer that is free of voids and large

rocks (see figure C).

NOTE:

The hole must be deep enough to allow a 2 to 4 in. (51 to 102

mm) layer of material (sand and gravel mix or other material

approved by local codes) and position the base of the speaker 6 to

8.5 in. (152 to 216 mm) below ground level.

4. Place the subwoofer into the ground.

NOTE:

Ensure that the vents are exposed and the top of the

subwoofer is about 4 in. (102 mm) above the ground level – it should

not be buried or set at ground level.
