Entering the SIM card PIN

Once a PIN has been entered it remains
permanently in force, even after a power
failure.
Entering the PIN at the Vitocom 100
Note
PIN input is terminated if nothing is
entered within 30 seconds of a previous
entry or if not all four digits have been
entered.
1. Open the casing (see page 10).
2. Hold down the pushbutton for setting
the PIN (P) for 5 s.
Only the red LED (O) illuminates,
and the device is in "input" mode.
Entering the PIN at the Vitotronic control units
Not all Vitotronic control units are equip-
ped with this service function.
For this, see the respective instal-
lation and service instructions.
Control unit for constant temperature
operation
1. Calling up the service level at the
Vitotronic control unit:
Press OK and
approx. 4 s.
The following flashes on the display:
Ü.
2. Confirm with OK.
3. With / select 8.

3. With the PIN rotary selector (G) set
the first figure of the PIN and confirm
by briefly pressing pushbutton (P).
The red LED (O) extinguishes
briefly.
4. Repeat previous step for each digit of
the PIN.
After the 4th and final digit has been
entered, the red LED (O) flashes 3
times and remains off.
4. Confirm with OK.
The number of remaining attempts
appears on the left.
5. Press / to select the position of the
digit to be entered.
6. Press / to enter the corresponding
PIN digit.
7. Confirm with OK.
Control unit for weather-compensa-
ted operation
1. To call up the "service functions"
at the Vitotronic control unit:
Press OK and
approx. 4 s.
