Regulations
Implement the power supply and protec-
tive measures (e.g. RCD circuit) in
accordance with IEC 60364-4-41, the
connection requirements of the local
power supply utility and VDE regulations
[or local regulations].
Protect the power cable to the control
unit or the Vitocom 100 according to reg-
ulations.
For oil and gas combustion equipment in
excess of 100 kW the Sample Combus-
tion Ordinance [Germany] "FeuVo"
specifies the on-site installation of an
"emergency stop" outside the installation
room. Observe the national combustion
equipment ordinance for your local
region. In the case of combustion equip-
ment to EN 50156-1, the "emergency
stop" installed on site must meet the
requirements of EN 50156-1.
Connection via the "emergency stop" (mains isolator)
When the heating system is switched off
via the mains isolator, the Vitocom 100
is also switched off.
No more on-site faults are signalled. It is
no longer possible to change the oper-
ating mode remotely.

The "emergency stop" must be installed
outside the installation room and must be
able to isolate all non-earthed conduc-
tors simultaneously with at least 3 mm
contact separation. We additionally rec-
ommend installing an AC/DC-sensitive
RCD (RCD class B
currents that can occur with energy effi-
cient equipment.
