Safety and Installation Requirements
Please ensure that these instructions are read and understood before commencing installation. Failure to comply with the
instructions listed below can cause product/property damage, severe personal injury, and/or loss of life.
Working on the equipment
The installation, adjustment, service,
and maintenance of this product must
be done by a licensed professional
heating contractor who is qualified and
experienced in the installation, service,
and maintenance of hot water boilers.
There are no user serviceable parts on
the boiler, burner, or control.
Installation Instructions
Certified as a component part
of Viessmann boilers only

Ensure main power supply to
equipment, the heating system, and all
external controls has been deactivated.
Close main oil or gas supply valve. Take
precautions in both instances to avoid
accidental activation of power during
service work.
Ensure that the installation
literature of other components
is referred to.
H Weather-responsive operation only:
Installation in any given room.
H For operation with
room temperature sensing:
– Installation on wall of main living
area, approx. 5 ft. / 1.5 m above
floor,
– not in close vicinity of windows or
doors,
– not above radiators,
– not in close vicinity of heat sources
(direct sunlight, fireplace, TV etc.).
In the given room no other heating
control must be installed. If the
radiators have thermostatic radiator
valves, ensure that these are
completely open at all times.
For optimum heating comfort and
control each radiator or zone in another
room must be installed with individual
thermostatic radiator valves or zone
valves with room thermostats, if the
system is not perfectly balanced (i.e.
radiators or zones are over- or
undersized).
The remote control contains a built-in
room temperature sensor, which
measures the room temperature.
Cable to the remote control must not be
placed directly beside line voltage
wiring.
