Installing Software & Setting Networking Configurables
Use the following checklist to verify you have completed the earlier
configuration steps. Did you:

Configuring General Values of the ANG-3000/7000 with APM
Optional. You may save the ANG configuration to a directory of your
choice by clicking Backup Configuration and specifying the backup
location. For more detailed instructions, refer to "Backing Up the ANG
Configuration" on page 119.
r Connect your remote control PC to the ANG using either the
crossover cable or a hub?
r Change the IP address of your remote control PC to an address in the
192.168.1.0/24 subnet other than 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3?
r FTP, from the Aurorean_3.0.00-95\Aurorean 3.0 System
Software\TunnelServer directory on the Aurorean System
Software CD, the rts-xxx.i.386.rpm file to the trusted IP
address (192.168.1.2) of the ANG?
r Open a Telnet session to the trusted IP, log in and type su -?
r From the /home/ftp/pub directory, type
rpm -i --force rts.xxx.i386.rpm (where xxx is the release, build and
patch number)?
r Reboot the ANG?
r Bring up a Web browser and enter the location http://192.168.1.2?
r Click General when the Aurorean Policy Manager appears?
r Enter the information exactly as it appears on your VPN
Configuration Worksheet? If you did not receive the worksheet, enter
the information as solicited.
r Check Local if you were configuring an APS/ANG-3000/7000 pair
and Remote if you were configuring a stand-alone remote

ANG-3000/7000?

r Enter the APS IP address, if you are configuring a local
ANG-3000/7000? otherwise, the address defaults to the trusted IP
address of the ANG.
