1. Open the Control Panel and double click Telephony. The Dialing Properties dialog box appears.
2. On the My Locations tab, select United States of America as your country and 313 as your area
code. If you need an additional number (such as a preliminary "9") to reach an outside line,
supply this information as well. Specify tone or pulse dialing.
3. We suggest you leave Telephony Drivers at the default values. Click OK.
Make a Connection to the Remote Network
You are now ready to attempt a connection to the remote network. From the Dial-Up Networking
menu, click Dial.
Enter in your User name (Remote) and Password (Remote_S). Leave the Domain section empty, and
click OK. Windows NT will dial the remote network and make the connection, giving you full
access to the network just as if you were on-site.

Installing Network Protocols
1. From the Control Panel, open Network.
2. On the Configuration tab, ensure that Client for NetWare Networks, IPX/SPX-compatible
Protocol and Dial-up Adapter are listed. If they are got to step?. If they are not installed, click
Add.
3. Select Client as the network component type to install. Click Add.
4. Select Microsoft and the Client for NetWare Networks. Click OK.
5. Click Add again from the Configuration tab of the Network dialog box.
6. Select Protocol as the network component type to install. Click Add.
7. Select Microsoft and IPX/SPX-compatible Protocol. Click OK.
8. Restart your machine when prompted.
9. From the Control Panel, open Network.
10. On the Configuration tab, select Client for NetWare Networks. If necessary, on the General tab
specify the preferred server and first network drive letter to use.
