    Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can cause serious damage to electronic components, including the SPCIE-C246. Dry climates are especially susceptible to ESD. It is therefore critical that whenever the SPCIE-C246 or any other electrical component is handled, the following anti-static precautions are strictly adhered to.
  • Page 60 Turn all power to the SPCIE-C246 off:  When working with the SPCIE-C246, make sure that it is disconnected from all power supplies and that no electricity is being fed into the system. Before and during the installation of the SPCIE-C246, DO NOT: Remove any of the stickers on the PCB board.

When installing the CPU please be careful not to damage it in anyway. Make sure the CPU is installed properly and ensure the correct cooling kit is properly installed.
