Stop & Start System (EGO GEAR)
3. When the vehicle con rms that the
following conditions are met, the
Stop and Start System activates
and the Stop and Start System in-
dicator light comes on.
The Stop and Start System
switch is set to " ".
After the engine was warmed
up, the engine was left idling
for a certain period of time.

To preserve battery power, the
Stop and Start System may not
activate.
If the Stop and Start System does
not activate repeatedly, have a
Yamaha dealer check the battery.
The engine will stop automatically if:
• The Stop and Start System
switch is set to " ".
• The Indicator light "
at the speedometer.
• The vehicle is stopped and the throttle
is in the fully closed position.
At this time, the " " indicator light on
the speedometer starts ashing to indi
cate that the engine is currently stop- cate
ped by the Stop and Start System.
