Confirm that the cable is securely plugged into the power outlet
and the machine.
Turn on the power switch.
Press {Online} so the indicator lights.
Check the error message on the Display panel and take the re-
quired action.

Load paper into the paper tray or on the bypass tray.
If you cannot print a test page, it probably indicates a machine
malfunction. You should contact your sales or service representa-
tive.
If you can print a test page but cannot get the machine to print
when you issue a print command from the computer, it probably
means there is a problem with the computer.
Note that large or complex data might take a long time to be print-
ed.
Connect the interface cable properly. If there are any connectors or
screws, confirm that they are fastened securely.
Be sure to connect the interface cable before turning on the power
switch.
The type of interface cable you should use depends on the compu-
ter. Be sure to use the correct one.
If the cable is damaged or worn, replace it with a new one.
Clean the paper feed roller if it is dirty.
