Operator Safety
This machine contains LED Array in scanner and writing units.
The machine is considered a class 1 LED device, safe for both office and EDP use.

Safety Information When using this machine, the following safety precautions should always be followed. Safety During Operation In this manual, the following important symbols are used: R WARNING: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if instructions are not followed, could result in death or serious injury. R CAUTION: Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if instructions are not followed, may result in minor or moderate injury or damage to property. - Page 3 R CAUTION: • Protect the machine from dampness or wet weather, such as rain and snow. • Contact your service representative if you need to lift the machine (such as when relocating it to another floor). Do not attempt to lift the machine with- out the assistance of your service representative.
- Page 4 R CAUTION: • Avoid getting toner on your clothes or skin when removing paper jam or re- placing toner. If your skin comes into contact with toner, wash the affected area thoroughly with soap and water. • If toner gets on your clothing, wash with cold water. Hot water will set the toner into the fabric and may make removing the stain impossible.
