To replace the belt on the cutting deck
1. Remove the 3 screws that hold the belt cover.
2. Remove the belt cover.
3. Attach the service stay to the tension spring.
4. Push the service stay and remove the belt.
5. Attach the belt around the pulleys as shown in the
illustration.

To examine the blades
WARNING:
incorrectly balanced blades can
cause damage to the product.
Replace damaged blades. Let an
approved service agent help you
sharpen and balance blunt blades.
1. Look at the blades to see if they are damaged and if
it is necessary to sharpen them.
2. Tighten the blade bolts with tightening torque 125
Nm (12.75 kpm / 92 lbft).
To replace the blades
1. Lock the blade with a wooden block (A).

2. Remove the bolt (B), the washers (C) and the blade
(D).
3. Assemble the new blade with the ends that have an
angle in the direction of the cutting deck.
WARNING:
can cause objects to eject from the
cutting deck and cause serious injury.
Only use approved blades. Refer to
Technical data on page 67 .
4. Attach the blade, the washer and the bolt. Tighten
the bolt with a torque of 125 Nm (12.75 kpm / 92
lbft).
To do a check of the oil level in the bevel gear
of the cutting deck
1. Park the product on a level surface.
2. Lower the cutting deck to float position.
3. Do a check of the oil level in the sight glass of the
bevel gear. The oil level must be near the mark in
the middle of the sight glass.
4. If the oil level is too low, fill with oil to the middle of
the sight glass. Refer to
for the correct oil.
To replace the oil in the bevel gear of the
cutting deck
1. Remove the cutting deck. Refer to
cutting deck on page 29 .
2. Remove the sight glass.
3. Drain the oil. Use a suction device with a plastic
hose. Make sure that the plastic hose gets the oil at
the bottom of the bevel gear.
To do a check of the parallelism of the cutting
deck
1. Do a check of the air pressure in the tires. Refer to
Tire pressure on page 55 .
2. Park the product on a level surface.
3. Lower the cutting deck to float position.
4. Set the adjustment lever for cutting height to the
middle position.
