The NOR Flash is connected to the serial memory interface (SMIF) of the PSoC 64 device. The
NOR Flash device can be used for both data and code memory with execute-in-place (XIP) support
and encryption. Note that the policy used during provisioning must support the SMIF interface to be
able to store code in the external flash. The policies that enable the SMIF interface are provided in
the templates.
