If you have software and you are adding a card
type or printer, the terminal displays the
following message.
N : Do not initialize the terminal over an open

batch when adding a card type or
acquirer.

To initialize the terminal for a parameter download.
Step Action
Press Initialize, Enter.

connection.
The terminal detects a proper phone line
connection and is waiting to detect a dial tone.

dial out.
The terminal has dialed out and is waiting for an
answer from the Host.
The terminal has made a connection and is
communicating with the Host.
The terminal has successfully initialized with the
merchant's specific profile.
Press Cancel to return to the idle prompt.
