Reading the Calibration Constants
from the Gauge
PlusLoader has the capability to read the calibration constants
out of a Model 3451, Model 3430, or Model 3440 gauge, display
them on the computer screen, and print them to a printer, if so
desired. Reading the calibration constants from the gauge
PlusLoader software to change. To perform these tasks:

1. Make sure that the gauge is prepared to communicate with
the computer, as described in the processes outlined in
Chapter 3.
2. From the PlusLoader Main Menu (see Figure 5), select the
option "Download calibration constants from a Troxler
Model 3430, 3440, or 3451", then click the "Proceed" button.
3. The program prompts the user to select the RS-232
communication port through which the computer is
connected to the gauge (refer back to Chapter 3, Step 5.) All
available communications ports are listed on the
Communications Port Selection Screen (see Figure 6.) Select
the appropriate port number, then click the "Proceed"
button.
4. A "Yes/No" message box displays asking whether the gauge
that is being read is a Model 3451. Select the appropriate
response.
5. The Communications Protocol Initialization Prompt displays
(see Figure 12). Click "Ok."
6. The software then performs a security check with the gauge.
Once the security check has passed, the confirming message
box shown in Figure 13 displays. Click "Ok" on this message
box.
7. Once the "Ok" button on the preceding message box has
been clicked, the gauge passes the calibration data to the
PlusLoader program. This process takes only a few
seconds, and progress bars are visible during the process.
