5. µAM FUNCTIONS AVAILABLE DURING OPERATION

5.1 System ON/STANDBY
The POWER button is used to activate (ON) and deactivate (PERMANENT or TEMPORARY STANDBY) the
operation of the system.
The setting is maintained even when power is not connected.
Note: the µAM does not have an OFF switch; as soon as it is powered, it starts operating. The POWER
button simply has the purpose of activating / deactivating the operation of the system.
Information
•
In the periods when the system is off, none of the e-drofan units can be started, not even using the
acqua or e-droset terminal, as the µAM keeps all the devices OFF by setting the status every minute.
•
In the periods when the system is on, the individual e-drofan units can be switched off, as the µAM does
not force the ON status.
•
In any case, when the µAM sends the signal to change status (from the POWER button or automatically
when managed by time bands), the previous status is overridden for all the devices connected.
Procedure
The procedure to be adopted depends on what is shown on the display
in permanent STANDBY (field 6 on the display shows OFF)
•
µAM
To enable operation in the previously set mode, press the POWER button; OFF is no longer displayed;
If time band operation was previously NOT activated:
• time band operation remains INACTIVE;
• symbol 17 remains off;
• operation is activated according to the mode set previously with the MODE button; one or more symbols
(1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) come on.
If time band operation was previously activated (see the paragraph on "Time bands"):
• time band operation starts again
• symbol 17 comes one;
• operation depends on the active time band.

µAM ON - TIME BANDS NOT ACTIVE (symbol 17 is off and the display shows one or more symbols
(1, 2, 3, 4 and 5)
To deactivate the system (PERMANENT STANDBY) press the POWER button for 3 seconds until field 6 on
the display shows OFF; all the symbols, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, go off.

µAM OPERATING WITH TIME BANDS ACTIVE (symbol 17 is on)
•
to temporarily activate/deactivate the operation of the system (ON/TEMPORARY STANDBY, that is,
"override" the time bands), briefly press POWER; one or more symbols (1, 2, 3, 4 and 5) come on (or
alternatively all the symbols 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 go off); symbol 17 remains on; when the next band starts
(see the paragraph on "Time bands"), µAM will establish the corresponding settings in the system;
•
to shutdown the system press POWER for 3 seconds: field 6 shows OFF (PERMANENT STANDBY);
symbol 17 goes off, together with all the symbols 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
5.2 Cooling
This mode cools the air in the zones controlled by the µe-dronic system, setting all the e-drofan units and
the µC
2
SE (if connected) to cooling mode; the mode is maintained by setting it every minute.
Procedure
1.
Make sure the operation of the system is activated (see the section "System ON / STANDBY").
2.
Press MODE repeatedly until displaying symbol 2, COOLING.
3.
To set the ambient temperature set point, see the following section "Setting the ambient temperature set
point – Remote control of the e-drofan".
5.3 Heating
This mode heats the air in the zones controlled by the µe-dronic system, setting all the e-drofan units and
the µC
2
SE (if connected) to heating mode; the mode is maintained by setting it every minute.
Procedure
1.
Make sure the operation of the system is activated (see the section "System ON / STANDBY").
2.
Press MODE repeatedly until displaying symbol 2, HEATING.
3.
To set the ambient temperature set point, see the following section "Setting the ambient temperature set
point – Remote control of the e-drofan".
