1.1 Presentation of the product
µe-dronic is the ideal solution for the maintenance of ambient comfort on medium – small systems
(residential, shops, offices).
The
– area controller – Micro Area Manager, fitted with built-in temperature and humidity probe,
µAM
can manage up to 10 independent zones, each made up of a maximum of 6 fan coils fitted with CAREL
e-drofan controllers. The system synergically optimises the operation of the chiller/heat pump if fitted with
the CAREL µC
SE, controller, using Energy Saving strategies based on the load measured, the ambient
2
temperature and humidity.
1.2 Main functions of the µe-dronic
The main functions of the
µAM
are:
Centralised ON/STANDBY of the system (fan coil, chiller/hp, optional boiler)
Independent or single set point
Time band management
Manual and automatic heating / cooling mode changeover
Humidity control
Energy Saving mode
Centralised Sleep mode control
Remote ON/OFF control and set point setting for each e-drofan, plus display of the temperature
measured
Selective locking of the buttons on the remote terminals connected to the e-drofan
Display the alarms from the µC
2
SE and e-drofan devices connected
Local control of each individual zone is managed by the e-drofan controllers using:
Local and/or heating/cooling valves
3-speed fans
The acqua or e-droset terminal can be used to set the following, for each zone:
ON/OFF and set point
Operating mode
Sleep mode
Fan speed
For further information see the e-drofan manual, codes: +030221265 (Italian), +030221266 (English).
The chiller/hp is controlled by the CAREL µC
pressors, with control of the evaporator, proportional and ON/OFF condenser control and management of
the electronic expansion valve.
For further information, see the µC
SE, manual, codes: +030220425 (Italian), +030220426 (English).

abbreviation for CAREL Micro Area Manager
the master saves the set point and the ON/OFF status
of the slaves connected, as well as its own set point
and ON/OFF status;
an e-drofan works as the master if it has been con-
nected to the acqua or e-droset terminal, otherwise it
works as a slave;
abbreviation for CAREL Micro Chiller 2 Second Edition
water chiller;
function available on some types of chiller (called
chiller/hp) for the generation of hot water; the heat is
produced from outside the building by reversing the
refrigerant circuit;
